In May 2022, the State Institution "Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health" (hereinafter referred to as the "Heart Institute") first applied to our Charitable Foundation with a request for sponsorship and financial assistance to ensure its activities. The Charitable Foundation From Heart UA considered the request and decided to provide targeted financial assistance to the Heart Institute.

Taking into account the positive experience of receiving charitable assistance, in January 2023, the Heart Institute again applied to the Charitable Foundation From Heart UA with a request to assist in financing the costs of developing the first prototype of an endovascular heart valve as a scientific study.

Since the Heart Institute is a state institution, its budget under martial law is insufficient to finance and implement this scientific development, but the number of patients with valvular heart disease who need treatment using this technique is growing every day.

The basis for the development of this research, according to the submitted commercial proposal, was the German company Auto Tissue Berlin GmbH, which specializes in providing high-quality services for the development of cardiovascular devices and heart valves, including the provision of services for the production, testing, sterilization and supply of medical equipment.

The Charitable Foundation From Heart UA considered the request of the Heart Institute and decided to provide sponsorship in the form of payment for the services ordered by the Heart Institute: transfer of funds directly to the German company Auto Tissue Berlin GmbH, which has the technical and scientific capabilities to develop the first prototype of the endovascular heart valve.

Thus, the Charitable Foundation From Heart UA intends to provide sponsorship to the Heart Institute at the expense of its own charitable donations, without spending budgetary funds, by paying for the development of an endovascular heart valve.
