A woman asked us to buy a bike for her son and told us a very touching story.

After the annexation of Crimea, their family was forced to leave their home and each of them received IDP status. They moved to Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. But in 2022, they had to move again-this time to the capital-and became IDPs for the second time.

In 2015, the boy's father went missing in Crimea. His whereabouts are currently unknown. All these years his mother has been trying to find him, but, unfortunately, to no avail.

The boy really needed a bike to get to school, because sometimes the family doesn't have enough money for public transportation. We couldn't pass this story by, so we helped him choose a bike and paid for it.
