We first visited the home in November 2018. At that time, 43 elderly people lived there, 27 of whom were no longer able to walk.
The main requests are food, appliances and care. So we provided the home for the elderly with everything they needed and bought new appliances, especially a large number of TVs.
Just like in all nursing homes, it was important for the grandparents to just talk to someone about life. After all, it is quite boring to lie around, even though most of them have roommates. Their daily routine is not as rosy as you might think: someone listens to the radio while looking at the ceiling, someone reads a book, and someone watches TV if they have it. But unfortunately, most of the elderly did not have them, so we wanted to provide them with them.
In 2019, we learned that the roof of the house was leaking and in critical condition, so we immediately decided to replace it. So we organized repairs and in a few months the old people had a new roof over their heads.
We all need help sometimes, so let's support those who need it together!
